How to get the best results.

Prepare wood by sanding to 120 grit. Tack surface to remove dust. Apply liberally using a lint free cloth (Blue shop towel). Let stand for a minimum of 20 minutes to allow the polymerized tung oil to penetrate surface, then wipe excess using a lint free cloth until surface is smooth. One coat provides protection for most woods.

*We recommend additional coats for open grain woods and for more protection on any wood* Wait 24 hours between coats.

Coverage aprox: 10 square feet per 2oz.

To Spot Finish Or Touch Up Finish: Clean and re-apply, wiping excess after 20 minutes

To Reapply: Clean and re-coat using the application instructions.

Caring For Your Polymerized Tung Oil Finish: Clean with a damp cloth and a non-chemical cleaner, such as Sutherland Welles Wood Cleaner, or a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water. Use Sutherland Welles Tung Oil Polish to rejuvenate periodically.

I haven’t used it yet because I haven’t made any patches from real leather. Not sure how it would work for leatherette, been meaning to test it on a patch.
